Final Scraps…May 2008

Is it springtime yet? I would love to hear the birds chirp, see the tulips bloom, and feel the sunshine. Especially on the evenings that I coach fast pitch softball.

Please join us this month for our celebration of National Scrapbook Day…a day full of fun and friendship.

Mother’s Day is May 11th this year and is always a day that I look forward to. It is the ONE day that I get breakfast in bed from the kids, a day of hugs and cuddling without the normal kid fighting, and generally a ‘love note’ from my husband.

I generally camp every year for Memorial Day weekend. Mainly to hide from everyone because it means one more birthday for me (something I always looked forward to when I was younger, but now that I’m in my thirties…they’re not so great!) But I do love to get away from it all and relax with no phones or stress to think about.

We always come home on Memorial Day, soaking wet from all the rain and sometimes snow. I always make it a point to stop by the cemetery and put flowers on my sister’s grave, and friends I have lost along the way. Then we stop by the veteran’s cemetery and place little flags on grave markers. My husband, Darin served in the Air Force for 10 years and I currently have a brother, Micah and a brother-in-law, Jeremy serving in Iraq.

I am truly grateful for their sacrifice and the sacrifice of many before them that have fought to defend my freedom, this country’s freedom, and protect us from additional terrorism. I always take this holiday to reflect on my many blessings and pray for all soldiers safe return.

This is my brother, Micah who became a NEW dad in September 2007 and was deployed to Iraq in January 2008. He is proud to be a soldier and looks forward to rejoining his family in July 2008. I LOVE you and will pray for your safe return!

Please bring in your layouts and SHARE your stories of soldiers, or loved ones you wish to remember on Memorial Day and we will proudly display them in the store for the month of May.

Happy Scrappin’

About Kathy
Hi, my name is Kathy Price and I started scrapbooking over 20 years ago and quickly realized most scrapbook stores didn't have everything I was looking for. I wanted to open a store where every crafter could find something they needed and wanted. Our store is 6,000 square feet and has over 40,000 products to chose from! Come on in and take a look around, you will be pleasantly surprised with our paper choices and embellishments. We specialize in local tourist items for Glacier and Yellowstone National Parks as well as our custom class kits and projects.
